Description
The Apollo Marine Intelligent Base Mounted UV IR2 55000-028MAR Flame Detector is sensitive to UV and low-frequency, flickering infra-red (IR) radiation that is emitted by flames during combustion. Since the Apollo 55000-028MAR requires both UV and IR radiation, it can be used in applications where a single UV or single IR detector would not suitable. The 55000-028MAR is set to respond to UV (185 – 260nm) and low-frequency. flickering IR (0.75 – 2.7μm) radiation at 1 -15 HZ in order to detect all flickering flames, including those that are invisible to the naked eye.
The Apollo 55000-028MAR has one UV and 2 IR sensors that respond to different wavelengts in order to discriminate between flames and spurious sources of radiation. The risk of false alarms due to electrical discharges or arc welding and flickering sunlight are minimised by combining the UV/IR signals.
