Description

The Salwico IR Flame Detector Tester 5100553-00A is a test lamp that is designed to perform a function test on Salwico IR Flame Detectors.

An extension rod is supplied with the Salwico IR Flame Detector Test Lamp, making it easy to test detectors in difficult locations.

There are 2 ways to test a detector with the Salwico IR Flame Detector Tester 5100553-00A.

1.
Press the Salwico IR test lamp against the detector until the trigger switch initiate test procedure with an intermittent buzzer sound. After about 15-30 seconds, check if the detector has reacted to the test.

2.
Activate “continuous test mode” by setting the switch on top of the test lamp to “ON”. This mode will initiate buzzer sound. Hold the Salwico IR test lamp close to the detector so the distance between the test lamp and the detector is within 5 cm. If the detector reacts within 30 seconds under this condition, the detector is functional.

If there is no response after 30 seconds, there may be a problem with the detector.
